Thursday is the weekly recycling day in Great Oak. Please be reminded, some plastic and paper items cannot be recycled; please see the following items for further advisement.
Items to ALWAYS place in the curbside recycling bin:
- Plastic bottles & jugs (with lids on)
- Metal food & beverage cans
- Milk/juice cartons
- Mixed paper & cardboard
Items to NEVER place in the curbside recycling bin:
- Plastic bags/film/pillow packaging
- Glass
- Food bags & wrappers
- Needles & Medical waste
- Shredded paper
- Diapers
- Mixed packaging
- Clothing
- Foam & plastic takeout cups & containers
- Batteries
- Hangers, hoses and cables
